The first stork arrived in the village Samuilovo (Sliven municipality). The news was announced by the mayor of the village Ivan Vassilev.
The stork is male. His goal is to build a nest, in which he will receive his female companion.
There are 15 stork nests in Samuilovo, local media writes. All of them are in the oak forest in the village, which is century-old. The mayor of the village will turn the storks into an attraction, which will help for the development of tourism.
Many people from Sliven and other villages come to the Samuilovo only to see the birds. Samuilovo is the only village in the country, in which there is a museum of storks.
